Citizenship by Investment (CBI) also known as “second passport by investment” is the process by which you obtain citizenship in another country through financial means. Qualifying candidates can achieve a second citizenship and therefore dual nationality by financially investing in a participating country’s second citizenship program.
There are two main avenues to second citizenship - you can either make a monetary investment into approved investment funds (Portugal) or purchase pre-approved real estate through a CBI scheme.
Costs vary by country, as do the terms and application processing time. A second passport by investment is only available to qualifying applicants: those who meet the various financial and personal requirements. Applicants must go through due diligence and pass a background check; a rigorous process meant to guarantee a safe and secure outcome for all parties involved.
Through second citizenship by investment, applicants can achieve citizenship for themselves as well as any qualifying family members who they successfully include on their application for dual nationality.

It's no secret that many Africans would rather die first before putting their estate in order through a Will, regardless of whichever side of the socio-economic spectrum they find themselves. In spite of the myth that writing a Will may lead to one’s death, the effects of an individual dying intestate in some African societies is worse than drafting a Will. We have seen our societies ravished of generational wealth, family relations and ties corroded, and many families, especially women and children, caused to be destitute by way of property grabbing at the same time having to deal with the loss of a loved one.
It is almost absurd that men and women will work and toil to the bone most of their adult lives in order to have a decent amount of assets and wealth as well as raise a family, but will ignore and sometimes refuse to do the very thing to somewhat protect these said important elements from the inevitable - death.
"Remember you will die". We encourage all Zambians and the foreigners living and working in Zambia to prepare and protect legacy, hard-earned wealth/assets and our future generations, in this case, through a very important piece of paper.
Do you have a Will? If not, please contact info@caravelpartners.net to be introduced to a third-generation Zambian law firm whose Partners are acknowledged experts in writing Wills.
